All the President's Men is one of the most underrated classic, that the public always seems overlooked. I think it is because there is a very slow film, action, and focuses entirely on politics and journalism. The good news is, I am one of the lucky ones this movie for what it is: a political thriller loves. All the President's Men does not really center on the infamous Watergate scandal, but focuses on the true story of two journalists (Bob Woodward and CarlBernstein of The Washington Post), who will stop at nothing to find out what led to the break in the DNC headquarters. And that would come to see that the real scandal that cost Nixon his presidency. There is very little action in this film, which is dominated by history, politics and dialogue. It can be annoying some waiting chases or shootouts, but it fits for this kind of real life. I think the slowness of the film really works. Our two main protagonists;brilliantly played by Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman, is one of the most interesting duo in film. Their costumes and choice of words are close to perfection, they behave as if they were the real Woodward and Bernstein. I have a problem with this movie, and that everything is wrapped a bit 'too fast at the end. Feels a bit 'disappointing. The movie is 138 minutes, but if you take twenty minutes, everything would be smooth and sealed a bit 'more. However, All the President's Men is one of the greatest films of the 70s, and is one of my favorite movies. If you're in the political thriller, then this would be an ideal choice. But if you're an action-packed thriller, which is full of bullets and explosions are expecting, then you look elsewhere.
