Dear Frankie

Customer Reviews

I agree with other reviews I see this film over and over again and can still feel the deep emotions I cry every time I see it. The story is real, the feelings of hopelessness, guilt, hope and love are real. The Scottish landscape and the eerie soundtrack is catchy. Each character is well portrayed by actors. Words, actions and statements through with depth. The story is so original and interesting. I have more DVDs available for friends and familyTo enjoy every time you need this support and lift that can only give this film. Have fun!

Cube

Customer Reviews

Cube is a Kafkaesque film. If you've done some research on this fabulous film, you're sure to find that this description is very colorful opinions. The seven people here did not make sense how they can lead to complex mathematical problems of a threat of nuts, freedom. Freedom always seems to distort the attempts to reach reality. Frustrating questions like "Why are we here", and "that brought us here," are set aside, due to the challenges of life or deaththem. Freedom elusive drives these people to their best and worst quality. Like many of the parables of Kafka: This is a moral story. And this is certainly a film that begs for repeated calls. This is a very interesting film, which has an aura of mystery and surrealness the product in a film in the midst of an exceptional life to repeat the movie.

There are those of us who have found fault in this film, as in mathematics. I do not want all this goes. I leavethe "glass is half empty people." I chose to say that this film is an attempt to intelligence, something that too few companies also groped to do. I admire the film, the characters have to solve complex math to move the story along. A history of human qualities, and the essence of our journey.

The music is minimalist, and I can not say that it included the drama of the cube. But I do not judge, be a weak point. If nothing else, then the lack of music, I feel even moreisolated and alone with the poor. I guess that works too. Do not you start with some great musical birth, how many films, but can almost feel the cold steel on the skin. The uneasy feeling you get in a hospital, waiting for the doctor to control your body, your body of the probe. There is always the feeling that they are not under control.

I really liked the look of the cube, too. Although each room is just a cube, they still manage to stimulate visual interest tochange through the change of the lights (sometimes strange light photo-camera), and perhaps design a lot. I noticed that the rooms are equipped with a stainless look to do computer-chip them. He gave me the feeling of a designer from the heart of ice is not for aesthetic qualities.

I'll make a little comment on the end, but do not spoil it for you. It 'a high point that some without enough answers, but the feeling of being alone, of course fill the appetite of the hungry filmLovers. I do not belong to an uncertainty, openness or the end of 'nice to know, feel the climax must have some reason to do so. But this film is true to its nature Kafkaesque, where you say to yourself, "What was that?"

Cube provides us with shocking violence, and sometimes unbearably exciting. It 's a film studies term complex, unique and troubling flooding. This is an interesting movie, surrounded by secrecy, by director Vincenzo Natali, who refuses to be sustainable, accessibleExplain what the outside of the cube. It is said that Natalie, also a short film out of the cube. But later, destroyed the film and renew its promise of secrecy.

Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory

Customer Reviews

Not only good taste, but it's fun to see.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971), audiences have been fascinated over the past four decades. I remember this film would be shown on TV once a year. It 'been a bit' like the Wizard of Oz - it was something that everyone around me suddenly see a year. This was before there were video and cable TV. As we've ruined everything now.

Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka was brilliantly cast. The sets are excellentIn view of this film was in '71.

My favorite scene in this film roll has always been the role of Violet in a blueberry and Oompas turns out of the room. It still makes me laugh that day.

Another of my favorite scenes is when Charlie and his grandfather are floating in the room with the fan and the bubble and burp the descent.

This special edition includes a documentary called Pure Imagination: The Story of Willy Wonka and theChocolate Factory, audio commentary by actors in the film, four sing-along songs, a 1971 vintage featurette, a photo gallery and theatrical trailer.

This film is a classic that I recommend to those who have not seen.

Wolf Creek

Customer Reviews

Wolf Creek

**** From 5 ½

Release Date December 25, 2005

Duration 104 minutes

R-Rating

Writer/Director- Greg McLean

Cast-Cassandra Magrath, Keste Morassi, Nathan Phillips, John Jarratt as Mick Taylor

Wolf Creek usually has a passing grade is received by horror fans, but the biggest complaint is Wolf Creek is too slow, and this type of discomfort me. Too many people complain that horror films are nowmore violence and blood and not enough set-up of characters and that is where Wolf Creek from what the genre has lost its way. Writer / director Greg McLean could have taken the easy way out and called the film with violence and blood, as character development and the victims had no face no face on film.

But instead filled with a number of bodies, there are only three main characters and half of the film focuses on them and it's not until the finalIs the action within 40 minutes and worries me is what people usually complain about kicking is not here to complain, yet people still feel the need. I thought the first half of Wolf Creek was the construction of the characters and know them and that is great, what makes the second half. In fact, if anything, I would say most problems in the rhythm of the first and second half.

Greg McLean's script was pretty solid, the characters are gooddeveloped and very likeable. They look like real people and this is what helps to hold despite the lack of strong measures to Wolf Creek. As I said McLean could have easily taken the easy way out and created a series of characters and have them cut off so creepy. But instead, we only have three characters, and are developed, rather than being killed one by one. The villain played by John Jarratt Mick Taylor was an excellent villain. The problem with films like Wolf CreekThe wicked are often too good and that creates a problem.

Mick Taylor is actually quite funny and entertaining, but it's really disturbing and frightening. And if it's fun and it's really scary. I suppose the best way to describe it is a bit 'like the characters of Tobe Hooper The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Like Taylor, were amusing in a really creepy. Sometimes people really are crazy fun to say in what they do e. Not that I laugh at peoplewith mental illness, but can be fun. And Mick Taylor is funny, but it is something really strange, including the failure brings, often movies like Wolf Creek is avoided down.

Wolf Creek was the first film by Greg McLean and treats her like a pro, the pace of the movie was slow at first, but not in a bad way. And 'slowly, but never boring, and spent time with the characters expanded considerably to the film where the action kicks takes time to McLeanCheck to work, where they took the easy way and made a slasher flick. Although the characters are not developed further than I, but some of the most beautiful and feel like real people and McLean is able to create a sense of imminent danger, even if nothing happens.

The second half is when the action kicks and there was a lot of hype, as disturbing was that kind of true. Wolf Creek was inspired by a true story and see70's influence film exploitation was so good and maybe I've seen too many, but for me, as she twisted it is not even true, what is being said to him, but then again, if you have enough of these films more difficult and seen harder shock to the viewer. But with this, said scenes in the second half do not pack a blow that has more to do with the viewer invested in the characters and when these terrible things happen again, perhaps not shocking, but works on a helicalbecause of the amount of time we spent with the characters.

McLean provides some solid suspense and tension and is able to die some very dark scenes and activities of the first main character of one of the greatest scenes of this kind has ever seen. As excellent as the scene of power lies more with the fact that we got to know the character. Although each stimulation, I found more problems in the second half in place of the first half. There were some moments in the second half, which easilydesigned, but very little. McLean manages to run things smoothly.

The game was solid and the characters as well, which I have already mentioned. Nathan Phillips is as solid as Ben and Cassandra Magrath as Liz and Kristy Keste Morassi as both sympathy and understanding. But the real star John Jarratt as Mick Taylor was one of the greatest horror shows and offers perhaps the best of the decade. As I said, the problem is with a lot of these films, the badJarratt is often sympathetic and sometimes when it's fun, it's still creepy and over again, as I said, though disturbing yet funny. Mick Taylor is cruel and mean and Jarratt plays the role perfectly.

The biggest complaint Wolf Creek was the first time was too slow, I do not understand. Unlike many films of this genre or horror movies in general, Wolf Creek, it takes time and makes the characters and that is what makes the second half powerful Sun Wolf Creekis an excellent horror film and a best of the decade.

The Coen brothers are full of creativity and originality. I'm always a fan of "Raising Arizona" and "Fargo", but recently I saw the other three in this collection.

I was the exciting "Blood Simple" hypnotized, and John Goodman is an extraordinary performance in the thriller "Barton Fink", which is now one of my favorites. All his films are well written and unique, so I always delighted, with no new are on display.

This is aCollection for a true fan of suspense / noir / black comedy genre!

Rebel Without a Cause

Customer Reviews

You do not have a complete academic history of modern bourgeois family (since 1700), as the late Professor Lawrence Stone to recognize that a teenager, and in each class at a time in the modern age is full of terror, danger, loneliness and experience was exasperating when asked by a world that did not do, or try to overcome. While moving the teen angst and alienation over time, and obtain as a general statement is even more disconcerting, they tend to follow the model above. Only the rich and the middle class have more resources than the working class and the poor to cushion "the beats.

And the last statement sums up the film like the reference year "Rebel Without A Cause". The concerns of Jim Stark (played by short, go hard life, hard, and do not just cars, but always respected "Heartbreaker," James Dean), his self-styled girl, Judy (played by his beautiful girlfriend gone slightlyfalse Natalie Wood) and his would-be friend forever "lost" boys, Plato, (played with a discount of Sal Mineo), seem small compared to the massive attacks on today's teen sensation. The film collected but in its way, an attempt to control young people (or tribe know) as our hero, Jim, his masculinity attempts to assert his personality and his "style" in a post-war world from the civil community (California, of course) who wanted to make "beautiful". "Rumblefish", "TheFlatland, "or any of the master SEHinton this does not work, but as a slice, a thin slice, the deal with the complexity of Teen Angst, and as adult writers and directors think that sounds like the mirror image of their company a particular moment, is worth a watch.
