Despite my (very serious, politically sensitive, aware of the differences, blah, blah) I laughed at this movie. I agree, this is one of the best comedies of all time.
It explores male homosexuality in an open area, but secretly so introspective. Kumar is a closet case, male attention, or is there a predator lurking around gay men, for some reason always attracts.
It explores heterosexist exploitation of women over-the-top jokes:beautiful girls who have diarrhea.
It explores the interracial violence and the failure of approval of the oppressed, to help in a similar situation.
It explores self-hatred and contempt for their race.
There is all this to educate clearly - the best way is to make people laugh.
